Timer

You can apply this task to several UI elements when you want to start, stop, or reset the “Timer” element as a result of user action or an event trigger. For instance:- You can configure ‘Timer” task for a user action. When a user clicks the “Send OTP” button, a timer starts and asks the user to enter the OTP in a specified timeframe.

Steps to Configure

  1. On the Event Configuration page, find the Task panel.
  2. In the Task panel, search and find the Timer task.
  3. Drag the Timer task from the Task panel to the Execution panel.
  4. Under Timer, a group of boxes appears.
  5. In the boxes, configure different properties as follows:

ActionYou can use this property to configure the timing action of the timer as follows:
a. Start
If you select this option, the Timer task starts the timer as a result of a user action or an event trigger.

b. Stop
If you select this option, the Timer task stops the timer as a result of a user action or an event trigger.

c. Reset
If you select this option, the Timer task resets the timer to an arbitrary starting number or zero as a result of a user action or an event trigger.

HideIf you click this check box, the application will hide the timer after the Timer element stops as a result of a user action or event trigger.No
Timer ElementThis property allows you to select a Timer element. After you select a Timer element, the “Timer” task is configured on the selected Timer element.

To select the “Timer” element:
1. In the Timer Element box, click the application tree icon (), and the right panel displays the Select Path area.
2. In the Select Path area, an application tree displays the list of pages and elements.
3. In the application tree, click the check box to select a timer element.
4. After you select a timer element, click Select to configure the current timer task on the selected timer element.

Business Rule (Optional Step)In this box, you can configure a business rule to determine the execution of the Timer task.  If the user’s action satisfies the condition in the business rule, the Timer task is executed.
To configure the business rule:
–> In the Business Rule box, click the application tree icon (), and the Business Rule panel opens.
–> In the Business Rule panel, click Create New to configure a new business rule.
