QR Code Scanner

This post is referring to Vahana 2 (beta version). To check the document for production, please go to vDesigner-v1.0

When this task executes, it opens the scanner. The application user can use the scanner to scan a document or file. After the user closes the scanner, the “QR Code Scanner” task reloads the elements on the current page.

Steps to Configure

  1. On the Event Configuration page, find the Task panel.
  2. In the Task panel, search and find the QR Code Scanner task.
  3. Drag the QR Code Scanner task from the Task panel to the Execution panel.
  4. Under QR Code Scanner, a group of boxes appears.
  5. In the boxes, configure different properties as follows:

Reference NameIn this box, enter the name of the task. Also, the system generates a reference name by default that you can change.Yes
Output Data TypeClick this list and then select any of the following options:
Aadhaar:- If you select this option, the task will only scan the aadhaar document.

Any:- If you select this option, the task will scan all other documents except the aadhaar document.

Output LocationIn this box, you can configure the location where the application will store the scanned data. To configure the output location:
1. Click in the Output Location box, and a smart selector expands.
2. In the Output Location box, enter the attribute’s or object’s name that will store the scanned data, and the smart selector displays the attribute’s name.



3. In the smart selector, select the attribute.

Reload ElementsIn this box, you configure the group of elements that the application will reload on the current page after the task scans the document.

To configure the elements:
–> In the Reload Elements box, click the application tree icon (), and the right panel displays the Reload Element area.
–> In the Reload Element area, see the tree of different elements.



–> In the tree, select the elements that the application will reload after the task scans the document.
–> After you select the elements, click Select, and the selected elements are successfully configured.

Business Rule((Optional Step)In this box, you can configure a business rule to determine the execution of the QR Code Scanner task.  If the user’s action satisfies the condition in the business rule, the QR Code Scanner task is executed.

To configure the business rule:
–> In the Business Rule box, click the application tree icon (), and the Business Rule panel opens.
–> In the Business Rule panel, click Create New to configure a new business rule.

  1. After you configure the related properties, click Save to configure the QR Code Scanner task.
