Introduction to Task Group

On the Vahana platform, the term “task group” means the virtual group or container that contains one or more configured tasks. After you create a task group, you can add one or more tasks to the task group. When you add more than one task to the task group, you can add them sequentially.

In terms of functional aspects, the task group, as a module, is an independent functionality. You can add a task to the task group and then configure it. Thus, you can link the task group to an event when you configure that event on a specific element.

The advantage of the task group is that it separates the implementation aspect and the event configuration activity from the design aspect of the application page. While designing a page, you can determine and implement the user journey uncluttered at the application level separately.

You can only create a task group at the application level, which means that you can access the Task Group module on the left navigation panel in the vDesigner module.

Note:- You cannot access the task group module from the left navigation panel on the Vahana portal’s home page. The reason for this unavailability is that you can create and manage a task group at the application level. You cannot create and manage a task group at the workspace or account level.

By using the task group feature, you can perform the following functions.

  • Creating a task group
  • Adding a new task to the task group
  • Editing a task group
  • Linking a task group to an event
  • Unlinking a task group from an event
