Mandatory Control

You can apply this task to make the element mandatory. After you configure the element as a mandatory element, the user needs to perform the task on the mandatory element.

To apply the Mandatory task:

  1. On the Task dialog box, see the left navigation panel.
  2. In the Search by task box, enter Mandatory, and the left panel displays the Mandatory Control task.
  1. In the left panel, click Mandatory Control, and the Mandatory Control dialog box opens.
  1. In the Mandatory Control dialog box, perform the following functions:
ControlClick this list to select the control that you want to make as a mandatory control.
Control GroupClick this list to select the group of controls if you want to make all controls of the selected group as mandatory controls.
Message on FailIn this property, click Message Master to configure the error message that the app displays if user does not perform the action on the mandatory control.

1. After you click Message Master, the Message Master dialog box opens.
2. In the Message Master dialog box, configure the error message.
3. After you configure the error message, click Add Message to configure the message.

Message On SuccessIn this property, click Message Master to configure the information message that the app displays if user performs the correct action on the mandatory control.

1. After you click Message Master, the Message Master dialog box opens.
2. In the Message Master dialog box, configure the information message.
3. After you configure the message, click Add Message to configure the message.

  1. After you select the control and/or configure the message, click Save, and the Mandatory Control dialog box is closed.
  2. In the Task dialog box, click Save to configure the Mandatory Control task.
